Ahh, summer, the best time of year; the days are long, the weather is warm, and taking time away from work is sublime. This year Chuck and I took holidays to go on a road adventure and visit the west coast.
We had a wonderful 12 days trekking our way through Banff, Vancouver and the Sunshine Coast. In our journey, we saw the turquoise water of Moraine Lake; looked way up at the giant totems of the Haida and majestic red cedars of Stanley Park; enjoyed the calm and ease of English Bay; watched in silence as the “J Pod” Orcas swam and shot mist through the air; and last, but certainly not least, laughed-with and embraced family on the Sunshine Coast.
What a fun trip! Here are a few of my favourite shots.

So interesting for me to see these images, since I from these parts of the world. Particularly love the colors in shots 1, 2, 4, + 5. The top shot–Lake Louise poppies–reminds me jelly beans ~

Thanks Karyn! It was such a wonderful trip. I love driving from the prairies to the west coast; the land changes so drastically. Funny, now that you mention it, the poppy picture does look like the colour of jelly beans.
