Nostalgia alert! Drove around the Winnipeg Beach area over the weekend and it turned into a little photo journey. Surprisingly (or maybe not), nothing has changed in over 20 years! At least very little. If you know the Winnipeg Beach/Matlock area, you will know what I’m talking about.

Farmers field across from the old cabin

The crumbling wall around Boundary park

Many grab bags and much fun came outta here

This old beauty is waterfront

The colourful backlanes of cottage country

A “shack”le of fun for a nosy kid

A well used, tiny cabin

Oh, to have a place to go to that hasn’t changed in 20 years. How wonderful! And fantastic photos too. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you Katie!
Love these photos. The mood of the area is captured beautifully in them.
Thanks Dayna! I just love cottage country in autumn. Most of the summer visitors have left so it’s quiet and almost feels forgotten. Plus, you can never beat colourful leaves on the ground.
