Autumn. It’s such a lovely time of year, isn’t it? Yes, we have mornings that arrive a little too crisp, giving us Winnipeggers that instant worry about early snow. (Step off snow, it’s not your time yet.) And yes, darkness seems to descend upon our streets way too quickly each evening. Yet, this season also brings us an abundance of riches and depth, like the burning hues of aging foliage, the savoury scents of a toasty brew, and the sweet feel of the low sun casting far-reaching rays of golden sunshine upon our faces, spaces and places.
When I hit the autumn of my life, I can only hope the laugh lines on my face, the spiritedness of my mirth and the depths of my wisdom and character will be as vibrant as a lovely autumn day.
Here is an autumnal glimpse of the city I love through the lens of my phone…
A last gasp from the garden
It’s always such a shame to say goodbye to our plant friends. One day they’re at their most popping, the next, dead. That ain’t right.

Our food scene never ceases to satisfy at the highest level. The tequila from Merchant Kitchen was especially tasty… until I sampled so much of it that I never want to have tequila again. ? ? ?
