This summer, me and le Chuck went on a tennis adventure to Montreal, The Beautiful City, and (in my best hoser voice)… what a beauty it is, eh?

Spring was super late this year, which made the garden grow like gang busters once it did finally arrive. This is my favourite time of gardening season, everything is coming up roses and peonies and poppies and portulaca and fat cats.
2012 – My year in pictures
2012 was another fantastic year of travel adventures. Last year’s highlights were Gimli, Orlando and Turks & Caicos.
Mush!
On Saturday, our Northern Lights tour group spent the day dog sledding at Bluesky Expeditions. Our vehicle got stuck on the road in, so Bluesky’s owner, Gerald, hopped on his ski-doo and came and “rescued” us. We rode in a sled full of moose fur to the sled dogs.
Lake Winnipeg in February
Last weekend, we drove up to Gimli and stayed at my mom’s place for a couple of days. The weather was beautiful and we were lucky to witness an amazing sunrise come up over the lake.
“Winter is coming”
Usually, we Winnipegger’s say this every year with the same foreboding manner as Ned Stark does. But this year winter never arrived. We’ve had very little snow or extreme cold. An odd winter for sure.
2011 travel review

Journey’s end

On our last full day in Maui, we woke up extremely early to drive to Lahaina and take the first whale watching cruise of the day. It didn’t disappoint.
