Winnipeg just finished hosting GoMedia Marketplace — the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC)‘s annual travel media marketplace that profiles Canadian tourism products to domestic and international travel media. Since Travel Manitoba was this year’s host, I was asked to join the Social Media team, which also included peeps from Tourism Winnipeg and the CTC.

Sometimes you get to do something cool in your job, and for the last couple of weeks I did just that. I designed my very first infographic for Travel Manitoba and the CFDC. It’s for a fun contest to name a gigantic Xiphactinus fossil fish that was discovered around Morden in 2009.
Working at Travel Manitoba has its perks. I get to talk about all of its great destinations and I’m lucky enough to be visiting one right now. Churchill!
